The US Army and Air Force are recruiting more legal migrants in an effort to meet recruitment targets, offering a fast track to citizenship for those who enlist. Recruiters with similar backgrounds to potential recruits are being used as part of the outreach effort.

While the Marine Corp is on pace to meet its goal, both the Army and Air Force have been struggling to find sufficient numbers of personnel. The military's marketing has focused on education benefits and training as well as a quick route to becoming a US citizen.
