Nancy Pelosi, former House Speaker and Democratic congresswoman from California, threw the ceremonial first pitch at the Washington Nationals game on Tuesday. The lob throw fell short of the mound and forced Screech, the Nationals' bald eagle mascot, to make a quick catch. Pelosi was selected for the Nationals' "Night OUT" LGBTQ+ celebration. Although a San Francisco Giants fan, she sported a Nationals jersey with her name on the back.
The Diamondbacks beat the Nationals after the latter let a 4-1 lead slip away. Pelosi's pitch was not the worst in baseball history, unlike Dr. Anthony Fauci's and rapper 50 Cent's.
