Jodie Comer stops Broadway show over NYC air: ‘I can’t breathe’

Jodie Comer left the stage during a matinee performance of her Broadway play "Prima Facie" at the John Golden Theatre due to difficulty breathing caused by poor air quality in New York City from smoke from Canadian wildfires. The performance was delayed for 45 minutes and resumed with an understudy playing the lead.

It is uncertain if Comer will perform in the evening show. The smoke is causing the worst air quality in New York since the 1980s, leading to the cancellation of rehearsals for Shakespeare in the Park's "Hamlet." No other Broadway shows have been canceled yet.
